Septic System Design

Proper placement of the septic system can be one of the most challenging and expensive aspects of building a home or commercial building in areas that are not served by sanitary sewer lines. In many instances, it can also mean the difference in whether or not a tract is buildable or suitable. Simple systems on accommodating tracts usually require very little planning. Such systems are usually specified by the septic system contractor and/or the environmental health department. Our service concentrates on the more challenging tracts.

Besides professional knowledge of how the system works, there are three basic components of any septic system design: an accurate boundary and topographic survey, accurate soil classifications, and the foot print of the building or home to be placed thereon. The size of the system will be determined by the number of bedrooms in the case of a residence, or the number of employees and activities if a commercial building. We will then place the structure on the lot and determine the most efficient and cost effective septic system configuration. In instances where the system and the home or structure won't all fit, we'll help you look for alternative systems or solutions.
